Interzum Forum Italy 2024: a successful debut

With 4,820 visitors from 52 countries and 216 exhibitors from 24 countries, the first Interzum Forum Italy event, held in Bergamo, was a resounding success and has already established itself as a key event for suppliers in the furniture and interior design sector.

It attracted a significant international presence, marking a triumphant debut for this biennial event dedicated to professionals in furniture supply and interior design. The event’s location in Bergamo, at the heart of the Bergamo and Brianza furniture districts, was strategically chosen for its excellent transport links with Europe.

Renato Antonini, the Editor-in-Chief of Aboutcamp BtoB, was a prominent speaker at Interzum Forum Italy in Bergamo. Antonini participated in the trend talk titled “Lifestyle Trendsetting: New Spaces for Living, Working, and Traveling” on June 6 at 1:00 PM. This talk delved into emerging lifestyle trends, focusing on how modern living spaces are evolving across various sectors, including recreational vehicles, a field in which Antonini has extensive expertise. His participation provided valuable insights into the rapidly evolving RV sector, discussing significant shifts in interior design, materials, and technology, and emphasizing lightweight designs and innovative solutions to meet modern consumers’ needs.

Thomas Rosolia, CEO of Koelnmesse Italia, and the event’s organizer, expressed delight over the event’s success: “The premiere of Interzum Forum Italy has exceeded all expectations. We were thrilled by the high number of visitors and the quality of engagement, which perfectly aligned with the event’s goals. The enthusiasm from sector companies and their active participation in the conference program demonstrated that we are on the right track. Based on this positive feedback, we are already planning for the 2026 edition.”

Carlotta Benardelli, Project Manager of Interzum Forum Italy, added: “We are extremely proud of the results of the first edition of this event. The commitment and enthusiasm of all participants helped create a dynamic and innovative event. Our goal was to offer a new format, and I am pleased to say we achieved great success. Interzum Forum Italy stood out not only for the quality and variety of exhibitors but also for addressing current issues such as sustainability and innovation during the various conferences.”

The conference program kicked off with a roundtable discussion on “Business Outlook. Global Innovation and Local Production: the Evolving Materials, Technologies and Furniture Market.” The event featured three stages—Trend Talk, Trend Stage, and Product Stage—hosting 30 events and 60 speakers who discussed recent trends, materials, finishes, and production processes, all with a focus on low environmental impact.

The next Interzum Forum Italy will be held on 4-5 June 2026 in Bergamo.
