VW Commercial Vehicles announces Sales and International leadership change

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWCV) has announced that Fernando Badia has taken over the leadership of Sales Europe and International, effective 1 July 2026.

Fernando (pictured) has 25 years of experience working within the Volkswagen Group and, according to the company, has played a key role in shaping business development across various markets through a range of leadership and management positions.

An Argentine native, Fernando previously served as Executive Manager for Sales, Marketing and Aftersales in the Latin American Region, and he has held leadership positions in numerous international markets including Vice President of VWCV in the United States and Head of Sales, Marketing and Aftersales at Volkswagen do Brasil.

“We are pleased to welcome Fernando Badia as our new Head of Sales Europe and International. He is an experienced leader with extensive international expertise,” says Lars Krause, Board Member for Sales, Marketing and After Sales. “His broad leadership and market experience will provide valuable momentum for the continued development of our European business. We wish him every success in his new role and look forward to working with him.”

At the same time as this announcement, Volkswagen Group also revealed the news that Anne Köckler will leave the company to retire on 1 September 2026, after 30 years with the company.

The graduate in business administration began her career at Volkswagen in 1996 as an International Trainee. Over the course of her career, she held numerous leadership positions in Germany and abroad in the areas of Sales, Marketing and After Sales. She played a key role in advancing the sales and service organisations and strengthening the customer-centric focus of the business.

Lars Krause added: “With Anke Köckler, we are saying farewell to an internationally experienced leader who has played a decisive role in shaping our sales and after-sales business over many years. We sincerely thank her for her many years of dedication and the trusting cooperation, and we wish her all the very best for this new chapter in her life.”
