Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VCV) has presented several new models in its popular California series of campervans at the annual Caravan Salon show in Düsseldorf.
One of the highlights is the Grand California Dune, a version of the campervan that features a new exclusive colour scheme as well as extended standard equipment such as adaptive cruise control, lane assist, emergency assist, LED main headlights, LED daytime running lights, rear-view reversing camera, and automatic air conditioner.
The Grand California Dune has been described by VCV as a new evolutionary stage of the Grand California, featuring a new interior with Atami Bamboo decorative trim, new floor covering, and new luggage nets.
Alongside this, three new models in the California Energy range have been revealed at Caravan Salon: the California Beach Camper Energy, the California Coast Energy and the California Ocean Energy.
Features of these vans include pop-up roofs with two sleeping berths, kitchenettes, and 230-volt shore power sockets.
The extended equipment for the special California Beach Camper Energy model includes an awning, a camper van auxiliary heater including remote control, the Air Care Climatronic 3-zone air conditioning system, a blackout system with roller blinds and thermal mats, Travel Assist and the Basic Parking Package.
The Coast and Ocean models feature fully-fledged kitchenettes, and individual added equipment, such as electro-hydraulic extendable and retractable pop-up roof as standard on the Ocean.
