Two leisure vehicle service providers in the United Kingdom have received special awards from the country’s Approved Workshop Scheme (AWS) for their high standards of work and customer service.
Kirk Caravan Services of Lanark in Scotland was awarded AWS Fixed Workshop of the Year 2024 (pictured above), while Kurt’s Mobile Caravan Services of Thirsk in North Yorkshire was presented with the AWS Mobile Workshop of the Year 2024 prize (pictured below).
Both awards were presented at the 2025 Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show at the NEC in Birmingham during a special presentation breakfast hosted by the UK’s trade association the National Caravan Council (NCC).
Reece Wigmore, Manager of the AWS, said: “The awards are really important because they celebrate the work carried out by the companies within the Approved Workshop Scheme.
“The winners and finalists have to demonstrate hard work and adherence to high standards throughout the year to be in with a chance of taking the top position in the two categories.”

The other finalists were Tourer Techs Caravan Services, Caravan Motorhome Care Services, Cara-Fix Midlands, and JB Caravan and Trailer Services.
These annual awards are judged on a range of criteria such as compliance with the scheme’s specific requirements, customer reviews and votes, and the results of assessments.
The Approved Workshop Scheme is a joint enterprise between the NCC, The Caravan and Motorhome Club and The Camping and Caravanning Club, and has been in operation since 1978.
