Two awards for Trigano motorhome brands Chausson and Challenger

Two French motorhomes from the Chausson and Challenger brands in the Trigano group have won prestigious awards in the UK and Belgium.

In the UK, Practical Motorhome magazine gave the Chausson Flash 634 its ‘Best for Innovation’ award in its Motorhome of the Year Awards, while in Belgium, the mobicar’18 Salon Caravan & Motorhome Expo, named the Challenger Graphite 260 as its Motorhome of the Year 2019 in the low profile category under €60,000.

The Chausson Flash 634 is a low-profile model based on a Ford Transit cab, is a new model for 2019 and features a unique rear lounge arrangement with an electric drop-down double bed. When the bed is raised, there is a small dinette seating area and a storage area. The bed can be lowered to any height, which means that if an extra berth is required, it can be lowered half-way, and the seating area underneath can be converted to a single ned. At the front, it also has twin bunk beds which electrically lower from the ceiling over the front lounge area. This makes it can be a five-berth motorhome (with five travel seats) with a compact body length of 6.39m. In the UK it retails for £41,400.

Like the Chausson Flash 634, the Challenger Graphite 260 is also a low-profile model with a Ford Transit cab, with the option of the Fiat chassis. The 260 is a new model for 2019 and its key feature is its drop-down bed over the front seating area which Challenger says is the only model with a hideaway bed that is 160cm wide. This model is 6.99m long and has four-berths in total and four travel seats.

Challenger and Chausson motorhomes are both produced in a factory covering 200,000 square metres with 700 employees in Tournon-sur-Rhone in the Ardeche region of France.
