Accessory and component supplier to the RV market Truma has revealed a new distribution unit, the RVcore 12V, designed to integrate the on-board electronics of a leisure vehicle to its tried-and-tested iNet X System.
Previously the iNet X system, which has already been installed on an estimated 100,000 vehicles, required an external distribution unit, which often required additional panels and components – now Truma is offering its own, simpler solution.
The RVcore 12V allows for integrated current measurement, which can show solar power as well as charging and discharging currents, an SOS fuse, which means important power circuits can be easily reactivated in the event of a system failure, and is fully customisable including functions such as ‘coming home’ automations.
Jan-Peter Albers, Director Business Centre Vehicle Systems at Truma, said: “With over 75 years of experience in heating and air conditioning technology, we at Truma continue to advance centralised control units and networking systems. Thanks to our new corporate structure, we can now focus even more strongly on this area – delivering greater benefits for both OEMs and end customers.”
The product is already beginning to be used by some leisure vehicle manufacturers around Europe – in the UK, it was showcased by motorhome brand WildAx, which featured the RVcore 12V on its new Equinox model at the recent Motorhome and Caravan Show.
