Leading provider of technical systems to the recreational vehicle market, Truma, has enjoyed a strong start to 2026 by claiming a number of significant industry awards.
At the recent CMT show in Stuttgart, Germany, the company won a prestigious European Innovation Award for its CombiNeo Combination Heating System.
The product won in the ‘Technology’ category of the 2026 awards, which are chosen by an international jury made up of editors from 12 leading caravanning magazines across 10 different European countries.
As well as claiming first place in the ‘Technology’ category, Truma was also named runner-up in the ‘Overall Concept Equipment’ category for its Aventa roof air conditioning system, and runner-up in the ‘Marketing/PR Campaign’ category for its ‘Cold Outside. Truma Inside.’, campaign.
Joachim Weckwerth, Managing Director of Product and Technology at Truma, said: “We are incredibly proud of these awards. They demonstrate that we not only develop innovative products, but also truly understand our customers’ needs and actively help shape the future of caravanning. For us, innovation means bringing together technology, comfort, and communication at the highest level – and that is exactly what we have achieved with our projects.”

As well as receiving recognition from the highly qualified panel of international journalists in the European Innovation Awards, Truma was also recognised by the camping public in the annual readers’ choice awards conducted by leading German magazines promoibil and CARAVANING.
The company claimed first place in the ‘Heating Systems’ category and second place in the ‘Air Conditioning Systems’, ‘Manoeuvring Systems’, and ‘Portable Fridges’ categories (pictured above: Thomas Braun and Frank Titze receiving the awards).
Joachim Weckwerth added: “We are proud of these awards because they clearly show how much our customers appreciate our work. The readers’ choice awards are particularly important to us because they directly reflect the opinions of users and thus provide honest feedback from the field.’
One figure in particular highlights this continuity: Truma has taken first place in the “Heating Systems” category since 2018, for nine consecutive years, confirming its leadership position and the strength of its relationship with the community.
