Touristik & Caravaning travel fair in Leipzig (Germany) now open

The Touristik & Caravaning (TC) travel fair at the Messe Leipzig has round 300 exhibitors and has been open from 17 November and closes on 21 November 2021. It features a complete spectrum of caravanning, from compact camper vans through to luxurious motorhomes.

Manufacturers and retailers of caravans and motorhomes are in Halls 3 and 5 .

Wherever recreational vehicles are out on the roads, there is also a need to extend the caravanning infrastructure in Germany and Europe. This topic will be examined during the Pitch Summit at Touristik & Caravaning. In the Van Life Lounge on Thursday 18 November, mobile home pitch operators and industry experts will discuss the planning and implementation of parking areas in municipalities or on private property. Other events will be held on the stage in Hall 4: The magazine “Caravaning” will present readers’ choice awards for the “Campsites of the Year” during TC. Awards will also be presented by the German Camping Club (DCC): The Technology Award will honour practical and safe-to-use accessories.

“Vehicles which can also be used in everyday life are becoming more and more popular,” stated Andreas Ott, Project Manager for TC, in regard to the increased demand in the box van segment. In addition to well-known brands and current models, small-scale manufacturers will also present their vehicles at the trade fair. Anyone who prefers to hire rather than buy will also find suitable offers at Touristik & Caravaning.

Anyone wanting to obtain information from experienced campers about life, work and holidays in a camper van will meet expert discussion partners from the van life scene in the Van Life Lounge on each day of the trade fair. Bloggers and influencers, some of whom live in a van full-time, will be available to participate in discussions and answer questions in a relaxed atmosphere in Hall 5. During talks, they will provide information on topics such as self-extensions, advice for beginners or the best routes.

The accessories section in Hall 5 will contain all the equipment – from awnings through to auxiliary heaters – for permanent campers and beginners. The exhibitors on the Technology Island will provide an opportunity to look inside a vehicle and will offer advice on the right equipment. Anyone who attaches more importance to the exterior will find wrap, laminated digital printing and furniture foils, as well as tinted window and stone chipping films for different vehicles in the “Colour Change Experience”.

Once a vehicle is equipped, the only thing left to do is to choose a holiday destination. The campsites presented in the Glass Hall at Messe Leipzig will make this decision difficult. Whether Carinthia, Bavaria or Saxony, close to a town or by the water, everyone will find their favourite place here.

In order to ensure that Touristik & Caravaning can be held under safe conditions for all participants, the Safe Expo concept of Messe Leipzig will apply during the trade fair. According to the latest German Coronavirus Protection Ordinance, visitors to Touristik & Caravaning must present proof of vaccination or proof of recovery from a coronavirus infection (2G rule). Alternatively, evidence of a negative PCR test not older than 48 hours may be produced. A medical mask must be worn in the exhibition halls. Tickets are only available online for the purpose of contact tracing.

Touristik & Caravaning is the largest holiday exhibition in Central Germany has been held at the Leipzig Trade Fair Centre since 1990. It has been organised by Messe Stuttgart since 2018.
