Strong opening weekend at Caravan Salon Düsseldorf: nearly 90,000 visitors in three days

The first weekend of Caravan Ssalon Düsseldorf 2025 has once again underlined the booming appeal of mobile holidays. Nearly 90,000 visitors came to the world’s largest trade fair for mobile leisure during the first three days, drawn by the impressive variety of products showcased across 15 exhibition halls and the expansive outdoor area.

“Mobile leisure holidays continue to boom and are very popular among all social classes and age groups. The Caravan Salon is so popular because Düsseldorf is the only place where visitors can find out about the latest products in the industry in such detail and also buy them directly at the trade fair,” explained Caravan Salon Director Stefan Koschke. “At the same time, the Caravan Salon is the world’s largest platform for industry professionals, who can exchange ideas and make contacts here.”

The heavy influx of visitors on Saturday did, however, require patience. Koschke advised guests planning to attend the second weekend to make use of public transport, noting that additional traffic delays are expected due to the Ed Sheeran concert series taking place nearby.

This year’s edition brings together 810 exhibitors from 41 countries, presenting everything from compact campervans to luxury motorhomes, base vehicles, accessories, technical equipment, conversion parts, tents, mobile homes, campsites, motorhome pitches, and travel destinations. The exhibition runs until 7 September.

The 64th Caravan Salon was officially opened on Friday, 27 August, by North Rhine-Westphalia’s Minister President Hendrik Wüst, who toured the halls and engaged with industry representatives. Discussions with the Caravaning Industry Association (CIVD) and local exhibitors focused on key issues such as the future of caravanning tourism in NRW, climate-neutral energy concepts for campsite operators, and the broader theme of sustainability.

The Aboutcamp BtoB team is at the show until Wednesday, 3 September. If you would like to contact us, please write to direttore@aboutcamp.eu.
