The 35th International Caravaning Show in Barcelona, Spain, opened its doors on Saturday 16th October with more than 130 exhibitors and up to 600 vehicles on display.
For the first time, the event has a special focus on adventure sports and outdoor activities.
The show is organized by Fira de Barcelona with the collaboration of ASEICAR (Spanish Association of Caravaning Industry and Commerce) and GREMCAR (Guild of Caravaning Entrepreneurs of Catalonia) and is open until 24 October in pavilions 4, 5 and 7 of the Gran Via venue, covering an area of 30,000 square meters.
Motorhomes, caravans and campers remain as the main exhibition area, followed by accessories. The largest space will once again be that of motorhomes and caravans with about 20 exhibiting companies, among which stand out brands such as Adria, Benimar, Carthago, Challenger, Concorde, Dreamer, Elnagh, Eura-Mobile, Giotti, Itineo, Karmann , McLouis, Mobilvetta, Phoneix, Dranger, Rapido, Rimor, Roller or Yakart, among others, which will present to the public the main novelties of this year and next.
The emergence of camper vans will also be reflected at the show and will thus form the second largest area of this edition, with 31 exhibitors present, including Catalunya Van, Drop Campers, Furgokaravaning or Westfalia, and established brands such as Ford, Iveco, Mercedes Benz, Nissan or Toyota.
As for accessories, there will be more than 30 companies available with products to improve the experience in a caravan, motorhome, camper or a tent. This ranges from pneumatic suspension systems or caravan coupling systems, stabilization, articles for the hygiene and disinfection of water, residual deposits, solar panels or batteries, among others.
The new ‘Caravaning Sports’ area will include the entry, for the first time, of companies linked to the world of mountain sports and adventure activities. Organized by AFYDAD, the Spanish Association of Manufacturers and Distributors of Sporting Goods, it will offer a commercial space with the presence of the main Spanish brands in the sector, as well as the possibility of testing products from the Salomon technical clothing brand or testing premium bicycles through the Probike specialized store.
During the two weekends that the show runs, the Travelvaning, Caravaning Kids and Gastrovaning themed areas will also open, offering a wide program of activities.
Travelvaning will be the meeting point for travelers with the organization of talks about the camper world, projections of documentaries about the vanlife lifestyle or live music.
Carvaning Kids, for its part, will propose two bicycle circuits and a family contest to the smallest of the house to set up a store in the shortest time possible.
Finally, Gastrovaning will offer gastronomic proposals in vintage vans for those who want to stay and eat in the lounge.
