Morelo, the premium motorhome brand owned by the Knaus Tabbert group, has started production in its new Plant 2 at its base in Schlusselfeld, Germany.

Construction of the additional production facility started in May 2023 and included a state-of-the-art production line, space for a second panel production, a warehouse, staff canteen and design and development offices, including prototyping.

The new Plant 2 covers an area of 8,500 square metres and is an important milestone for Morelo’s growth since the company started 13 years ago. It is also a significant investment to expand its facilities, employ around 100 more people and increase output to meet increased demand.

“With the plant expansion, we are taking the next big step into the future for Morelo,” said Robert Crispens, Managing Director of Morelo Reisemobile GmbH.

The new plant 2 follows a previous expansion of Plant 1 and an extension of the exhibition space for its vehicles.
