Lippert celebrates a decade in Europe

RV components and accessory supplier Lippert is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its presence in Europe.

The company first established roots on the continent with the acquisition of Project 2000 in 2016, and has since become the group’s main European hub for the development and production of components and systems for different markets.

Today, Lippert EMEA is one of the group’s global innovation hubs, with activities ranging from caravanning to railway and the nautical sector.

The European expansion originated in Italy, where the group continues to maintain a significant part of its production facilities. The skills developed in European plants have contributed to Lippert’s overall innovation, with solutions and technologies also adopted in international markets.

“When Lippert started looking at Europe, he wasn’t just looking for a geographical presence,” says Michele Checcucci, President Caravanning & Rail EMEA at Lippert. “It sought innovation, skills and products capable of bringing added value to the North American market. Project 2000 represented exactly that: a flexible, technologically advanced company with a strong quality culture. It was our gateway to Europe and the starting point of everything that came next.”

The European arm of Lippert has expanded over the past decade with the acquisition of companies including Metallarte, RV Doors, ST.LA., Lavet, Polyplastic, Lewmar and Schaudt – a strategy that has contributed to the overall growth and success of the company.

“Lippert’s real strength is not factories or technologies, but people,” Checcucci said. “In these ten years we have seen employees grow together with the company, assume international responsibilities and build professional paths that would have been difficult to imagine within much smaller realities. Valuing talent and creating opportunities for continuous growth remains one of our most important goals.”

Ten years after the start of its European presence, Lippert is now looking to the future with the aim of continuing the development of an industrial platform that can support manufacturers with an integrated range of products, technologies and services.

“Over the past decade, we have built much more than an industrial presence in Europe,” said Lorenzo Manni, Managing Director of Lippert EMEA. “We have created a network of skills that today allows us to support manufacturers with an increasingly integrated offer, developing products, technologies and services that can meet the new needs of the market. The strength of Lippert EMEA is the ability to combine the agility and specialisation of our companies with the resources and vision of a global group.”
