Kabe establishes new company in Germany

Swedish leisure vehicle producer Kabe AB has announced that it is establishing its own import organisation in Germany – a move it claims is an important step in its plans for European expansion.

Kabe Deutschland GmbH will be based in Ravensburg in the south of Germany and aims to become a platform to help Kabe and its brands grow their market share in the country and the wider European continent.

The company will be headed up by experienced leisure vehicle industry professional Benjamin Schaden, who has been appointed as its Managing Director.

Benjamin, who has previously held senior roles in the industry, such as Head of Sales and Development at Dethleffs and Sales Manager at Hymer, was most recently the Managing Director of a major German dealership.

Kabe believes his extensive experience in the German market will help this new import company in the country get off to the best possible start.

“We are convinced that this step is an important milestone to further strengthen our position and deepen our understanding of the German market – both in the caravan and motorhome sector,” said Peter Blomqvist, Sales and Marketing Director of Kabe AB.

Alongside this news, Kabe also recently revealed that Jörg Reithmeier will take up the office of Chairman of its Advisory Board. He brings in-depth industry experience, most recently from the Executive Board of the Erwin Hymer Group and as Managing Director of Hymer.

Kabe AB was founded in Sweden in 1957 and is one of Scandinavia’s most prominent leisure vehicle manufacturers. The company produces vehicles under its own brand, the Affinity brand, and also owns the British caravan and motorhome brand Coachman.
