Isabella opens new awning factory in Poland

After a year of construction, Isabella, the awning manufacturer based in Denmark, has its new production site in Poland.

Digging commenced on 15th July 2020 for a new and highly advanced Isabella awning factory. The new factory opened in August 2021, when 150 workers from Isabella Poland moved into the 7,000 sqm of floor space.

“Over the last 20 years, we’ve been manufacturing our products in leased premises in Poland. We will soon be able to move into our own advanced factory, allowing us to streamline production and prepare for the growth we expect over the next few years,” says Isabella’s CEO, Morten Kjeldsen.

The new Isabella factory stands on a 20,000 sqm plot in an industrial area in Lubawa,Poland. 24/08/2020 was a milestone in the building project. The Isabella management and the factory employees in Poland held a “cornerstone ceremony”. In line with Polish tradition, the cornerstone placed for the new building was taken from Søren Odgaard’s (Isabella’s founder) old property in Denmark. The old stone neatly links the new factory for Isabella Poland with the Isabella Group in Denmark.
