Hymer celebrates production of the 100th Eriba Touring 820 caravan

Hymer is celebrating the production of the 100th of its flagship Eriba Touring 820 caravan – another milestone to the success story of its iconic caravan range.

When Hymer introduced the Eriba Touring 820 in 2019, it set new standards in terms of design, aerodynamics and travel comfort. This modern flagship of the Eriba series combines the traditional touring charm of its well-known smaller models with more space and luxurious standard equipment.

The Eriba brand has stood for quality and functionality since 1957 and has shaped the world of travel with innovative caravans. Starting with the construction of the original Troll, the Eriba Touring continues to set standards in terms of design, aerodynamics and travel comfort to this day. The cult caravan is the only one of the brand that has been produced continuously for 65 years, because its uniqueness makes it the most successful series of the company.

The production of the Eriba Touring 820 caravan is also exclusive: in order to give it its individual touch, each vehicle is handcrafted. The milestone of the 100th model shows Eriba’s success at meeting the expectations of the target group for a premium caravan.

The 100th Touring 820 rolled off the assembly line on May 5th and was ceremonially handed over to its owner.

“This special anniversary once again confirms that at Eriba we understand and successfully serve the demands of modern travel culture on a vehicle. At the same time, this milestone proves to us that with the Touring series we have been offering the ideal home on four wheels since day one. Even though we are constantly evolving, we have remained true to the iconic design in connection with the traditional Eriba quality standards to this day,” says Matthias Binder, Eriba brand manager.

The Eriba Touring 820 is a real eye-catcher, both inside and out: the typical touring steel cage construction in combination with the cladding made of smooth silver sheet metal lets the classic shine in new splendour. In addition, there are the 180° panoramic windows in the front and rear, which are designed from the outside as a continuous row of windows and thus underline the extraordinary design of the tandem axle.

The interior is also characterized by the distinctive and round shape of the furniture elements, which are reminiscent of modern yacht construction. The dark and matt furniture decor with the light surfaces and the upholstery with leather covers as standard lend the interior additional elegance.

Even if Eriba has remained true to the distinctive shape as a trademark of the touring series for years, the equipment and technology have been constantly further developed. The Touring 820 presents itself as a modern home on four wheels thanks to new equipment highlights with numerous customization options, even in the digital and networked age.

A highlight of the extensive standard equipment is the Eriba Smart Home control, which provides extra comfort and user-friendliness. Air conditioning, heating and the hot water boiler can be easily controlled via the display. In addition, the display provides information at a glance on the battery charge status, the fill levels of the fresh and waste water tanks or the remote display of the DuoControl.
