Caravan section of CMT 2017 is fully booked and more international

From 14 to 22 January, at the show CMT 2017 in Stuttgart, the exhibitors will present 850 motorhomes, caravans and recreational vehicles. “The accessories section is growing and is becoming increasingly international. Here we can present even more variety and interesting innovations to our visitors than in the past,” says Project Manager Alexander Ege. But there’s a lot happening not just with regard to accessories, the vehicle manufacturers are also bringing numerous novelties to Stuttgart. In order to be able to present the offer in an appropriate way, the East Entrance will also serve as an attractive exhibition area. “We’re booked up to the last square metre. For CMT 2017, already in the summer we couldn’t take any more registrations,” says Ege.

In addition to the East Entrance, the theme of “Camping/Caravanning” will present itself in a total of five trade fair halls:

  • – L-Bank Forum (Hall 1): In this hall, the volume manufacturers will showcase their new products. In the motor-vehicle gallery, presentations will concentrate on the themes of caravanning and mobility on holiday.
  • – Hall 2: Knaus Tabbert will show the innovations from the various markets here.
  • – Hall 3: Here, manufacturers from the premium segment will present themselves, as well as manufacturers with vehicles for beginners.
  • – Hall 5: This hall is the meeting point for all camping bus and van fans.
  • – Hall 7: Here the visitors will find the complete range of accessories, as well as attractive camping and parking site offers. This year’s caravanning partner region, the northern Black Forest, will also be prominently presented at this location.

On the gallery of the L-Bank Forums (Hall 1) and in Hall 5, the visitors will also find a greatly expanded selection of offroad and expedition vehicles.

On the first CMT weekend (14/15 January 2017), the offer will be complemented by the subsidiary trade fair Fahrrad- und ErlebnisReisen mit Wandern (Cycling & Adventure Holidays with Hiking), on the second weekend (19 – 22 January 2017) by the subsidiary events Golf- und WellnessReisen (Golf and Wellness Holidays) and Kreuzfahrt- & SchiffsReisen (Cruises & Ship Travel).

Also specialist visitors find an increasing number of interesting offers at CMT. Thus, the close linking of tourism and caravanning is reflected not only in the halls, but also in the seminar offer. On Monday, 16 January 2017, with the “Motorhome Parking Summit” an event will be continued that already drew attention in 2016: Here, tourism professionals and destination managers meet caravan enthusiasts to obtain first-hand information on what positive effects motorhome parking sites might have for destinations. Successful examples from practice will be presented, for example, by the Stuttgart region.
