The recreational vehicle industry in Canada is preparing for the return of RV Tech Week – a national campaign that celebrates the critical role of RV technicians and also the career opportunities that the industry provides.
Manufacturers, dealers, suppliers, and service centres across Canada will participate in the event, which takes place from 2 to 6 June 2025. The theme of the event will be ‘Tech the Next Step: Skills That Move You’, which is designed to encourage young Canadians to consider a career as an RV technician.
“RV Tech Week is more than just a celebration – it’s a movement to showcase the skill and pride behind every RV repair and service,” said Chardell Brydon, Chair of the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) of Canada Education and HR Committee. “This is our opportunity to thank those working behind the scenes and to inspire a new generation to consider a career in this fast-paced, hands-on field.”
Meanwhile, Eleonore Hamm, President of the RVDA of Canada, added: “Technicians are the backbone of the RV experience. Without their skill and dedication, our industry wouldn’t be able to support the millions of Canadians who rely on RVs to explore, connect, and enjoy the freedom of the open road. RV Tech Week is our way of honouring their expertise and attracting new talent to this rewarding career path.”
Highlights of the campaign this year include a national toolkit that is available for free to employers and RV industry partners designed to help amplify their participation, in-store and online events, social media celebrations, and a career awareness focus.
