Bürstner's Habiton micro camper wins another award!

The Bürstner micro camper concept car Habiton, featuring an integrated roof tent, has won an iF Design Award in the “1.01 Automobiles / Vehicles” category. The iF Design Award is awarded by the iF International Forum Design GmbH and is considered one of the most prestigious awards in the design sector worldwide.

Bürstner first revealed the Habiton micro camper concept car at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf last year. It neatly integrates the inflatable roof tent into a compartment that is integral to the vehicle – a Renault Kangoo MPV.

The innovative design makes it easy to use the vehicle everyday, and keeps the roof tent secure as it is part of the car. It was developed by a team of in-house developers and the renowned Rüsselsheim design studio StudioSyn under the direction of Tom Klüber-Voss.

With almost 11,000 applications from 72 countries for the iF Design Awards, Jens Kromer, CEO of Bürstner is proud to have won the iF Design Award. He commented: “We couldn’t be prouder of this award for our Habiton study. We are working tirelessly to advance Habiton’s series production so that you too can soon enjoy this innovative micro camper.”

Last year, Bürstner also won a “Gold” German Design Award 2024 for the Habiton in the “Excellent Product Design – Passenger Vehicles”.
