Bürstner builds 1,000th "Copa" campervan

On March 11, 2022 at 11 a.m. Bürstner produced its 1,000th Copa at its plant in Wissembourg (France).

The 1,000th Copa C 500 rolled off the assembly line under the eyes of the managing directors, the deputy plant manager, the “Copa” project team, as well as the assembly line supervisor and the works council.

“The Wissembourg site has a long tradition in the construction of leisure vehicles. We are all very proud to continue this with the Copa, which has been very successful on the market!” says Michel Baumann, Bürstner Plant Manager in Wissembourg.

The Copa is fully in line with the trend towards multifunctional and compact leisure vehicles. Thanks to its modular rail system in the floor, it is so variable that it is suitable for every use: outdoor holidays, transporting bikes, shopping for bulky goods, going to school and work and much more. Combined with the Bürstner-typical, modern living comfort. Among other things on board: A functional kitchen with an impressive headroom of up to 2.47 meters, many cleverly installed storage options and a large double bed in the pop-up roof.

“I would like to say a big thank you to the entire team who set up the production line in such a short time and trained the employees so well. Thanks to our maintenance, planning and work preparation, to the project management, the technicians and engineers who installed the production line and got it running. Without their experience and support we would not have made it in such a short time. And of course a thank you to the management, who made this investment possible in the first place,” adds Baumann, manager.

The Wissembourg site has been producing Bürstner leisure vehicles since 1974, both caravans and mobile homes.
