Bergstrom reveals new air conditioning system for pop-top campers

Electric climate control product provider to the recreational vehicle industry, Bergstrom, is set to present a new 12V air conditioning system specifically designed for pop-top campervans at the upcoming Caravan Salon Düsseldorf show.

Bergstrom says the new product is designed to cater for users of campers and camper vans with pop-up roofs who are unable to install roof-mounted air conditioning – a demand that is growing in the industry.

The product features 12V operation so it can be powered exclusively by the battery, without relying on external electric power supply, and a fully integrated design that will not compromise the structure of the pop-up roof or the aerodynamics of the vehicle.

It can be installed with up to seven outlets distributed throughout the pop-up roof area of the van and passenger compartment for even air flow and cooling. It also boasts quiet operation and low energy consumption.

Described by Bergstrom as ‘a solution created for those who want to explore without sacrificing comfort, regardless of the space limitations of pop-up roof campers’, the new product is a step forward in the company’s efforts to innovate.

Bergstrom will be showing a fully functional prototype of the unit, mounted on a pop-top camper on a Ford chassis at Caravan Salon on Stand D06 in Hall 14.
