Aussie Traveller agrees to acquire Camec

Leading caravan components and accessories supplier Aussie Traveller has announced that it will acquire fellow RV industry supplier Camec in a move it says will ‘create the leading caravan and outdoor products supplier in Australia and New Zealand’.

The acquisition, which will see Aussie Traveller buy the Camec business from Fleetwood Limited, is set to be completed on 1 September 2026.

The combination of these two Australia-based businesses is described as a complementary one by Aussie Traveller, which will create a strong supplier for customers across the industry with a broader product range, deeper inventory holdings, and an expanded national distribution network.

“This is an important milestone in Aussie Traveller’s journey to creating Australia and New Zealand’s leading supplier of outdoor components and accessories,” said James Barallon, CEO of Aussie Traveller. “Bringing these two businesses together means a broader range, more stock, and further product innovation that will allow us to deliver the best possible products and service to our valuable customers.”

Camec will continue to operate under Fleetwood as normal until 1 September, upon which date it will become owned by Aussie Traveller and integrated into its operations.

Aussie Traveller has a history dating back to 1988 and supplies the OEM, trade, and retail channels in the RV and outdoor industry. The company is part of Recreation Brands, an Australian-owned group of outdoor products businesses which includes brands such as Xtend Outdoors, Trailer Spares Direct, and Recycled Mats.
