One of the most significant recreational vehicle shows in Asia, the Japan Camping Car Show, is preparing for its annual outing at the Makuhari Messe Exhibition Centre in Chiba City, Japan.
Taking place from 30 January to 2 February 2026, the show will host around 150 exhibitors and showcase more than 400 recreational vehicles to visitors from the industry and the public alike.
The show is organised by the Japan Recreational Vehicle Association (JRVA) and attracted around 60,000 visitors across its four-day duration when it took place in 2025.
As well as being the place to see the latest trends and innovations from Japanese RV brands like VanRevo, VanTech, and White House Camper, the Japan Camping Car Show will also host the Japanese arms of several international brands such as Hymer, Adria, Jayco, and Airstream.
This year’s event will feature a special appearance by singer-songwriter Mekakushe, and will also see industry personality Shido Nakamura awarded with the 14th annual Camping Car Award – a prize that recognises celebrities who have helped contribute to the positive promotion of the RV industry.
Shido will also be showcasing his very own Border Banks RV that he uses in his daily life.
A host of other Japanese comedians and celebrities will be performing at the event, including Atsushi Tamura, Tetsu Kaneda, and Karashi Hasune.
The Japanese RV industry is currently in a healthy state, with an estimated 165,000 RVs currently in use in the country, as revealed by a special presentation by JRVA President Kenji Araki at Caravan Salon Düsseldorf last year.
